Financial Planning

Financial independence can be defined simply -- “I don’t have to work anymore if I don’t want to.” For those who are not yet financially independent, it is our job to put together a simple savings, spending and investing plan to help achieve financial independence.

We also tackle other important elements of financial planning from taking care of a sick relative to expecting an inheritance. Some clients need help planning for college or an analysis of their life insurance. It is important to note that we don’t sell life insurance.  Rather we coach our clients on their insurance needs and partner with their insurance agent to ensure the appropriate policies are executed.

When a client reaches financial independence, we help them with multiple challenges and opportunities. What is the safe amount to withdraw from a portfolio? Can we give money to our children or charities? What are the best vehicles to do so? Is our estate plan in order? Are our assets titled correctly to minimize estate tax?

In short, financial planning is waking up each day and helping our clients navigate the financial chaos in their lives. Our clients are often surprised to find that if we make a list of tasks, and complete them all, order begins to replace the chaos.
